Brazilian Communist Party Supports Venezuelan President’s Re-election

Brasilia, April 21 (RHC) -- The Communist Party of Brazil reiterated its support for the re-election of President Hugo Chavez in the general elections on October 7th.

In a resolution of the National Policy Committee, published on the Vermelho website, the organization expresses its hope that the Venezuelan people will choose to continue the process of change begun in 1999.

Brazilian communists believe that a new victory of President Chavez in October will further strengthen the revolutionary process and prospects of building socialism in Venezuela, while also expressing their satisfaction with the Venezuelan leader’s recovery.
