US drone attack in Somalia kills at least 22

Mogadishu, April 27, (RHC), -- At least 22 people were killed in a suspected USdrone attack in Somalia’s south-western region of Gedo on Friday.

Authorities say dozens of people have been wounded in the airstrike.

The USmilitary uses remote-controlled drones in Somalia for reconnaissance operations and targeted killings.

While Washington claims that such airstrikes are aimed at militants, there are numerous reports of massive civilian deaths as result of these aggressions.

The UN has condemned the of US drone strikes, saying they pose a challenge to international law. /PRESSTV
