NATO airstrikes leave 11 Afghan civilians dead
Kabul, May 7, (RHC), -- At least 11 civilians have lost their lives in a recent spate of NATO airstrikes in war-torn Afghanistan.
A NATO air attack left five people dead in Afghanistan’s northwestern province of Badghis, while 15 others were injured.
Also, in the country’s southern Helmand Province, another six civilians lost their lives in alliance forces´ air raids. A mother and her five children were killed in the incident.
NATO has not yet made any comments on the attacks.
Hundreds of civilians have lost their lives in the NATO operations in various parts of Afghanistan over the past few months, with Afghans becoming increasingly outraged at the seemingly endless number of the deadly assaults.
The United States and its allies launch airstrikes on Afghan residential locations, claiming to be targeting militants. However, the main victims of the offensives are civilians. /PRESSTV
