Venezuelan Parliament Approves Law on Bank of ALBA

Caracas, June 20 (RHC) -- Venezuela's National Assembly approved a bill that will strengthen economic relations among member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (ALBA).

The piece of legislation, which is ready for its enactment by President Hugo Chavez, will regulate issues referring to the headquarters, immunities and privileges of the Bank of ALBA, the head office of which is located in Caracas.

The deputies also ratified the approbatory plan for an agreement between Venezuela and Ecuador on mutual assistance and cooperation in customs matters.
