Ecuadorian Leader Presents Report to the Nation
Havana, August 10 (RHC) -- Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa will present Friday the government report for his last year in office before the National Assembly, as required by law.
Secretary General of the parliamentary body, Andres Segovia, said everything is ready for the Ecuadorian head of State to present the National Development Plan and objectives for next year.
Ecuador saw a 5.5 percent economic and social growth in the first quarter of 2012, and managed to reduce poverty by 12 percent in the last five-year period. The reduction of poverty is yet another result achieved by the government of President Rafael Correa, which now exhibits the lowest unemployment rate in Latin America.
