Afghan police kills 2 U.S. soldiers

Kabul, Aug 17, (RHC), -- Two U.S. soldiers have been shot dead by an Afghan policeman in the western Farah province, as attacks on foreign forces by local troops escalate in the war-torn country.

U.S.military authorities confirmed the death of the soldiers, saying the attacker was shot and killed.

Meantime police chief of Farah province Aqa Mir Kintoz in talks with Xinhua confirmed the incident, saying the U.S. troops were giving training to local police this morning when a police personnel namely Mohammad Ismael opened fire, killing two American soldiers and one Afghan on the spot. /XINHUA
