Non-Aligned Movement Promotes South-South Cooperation

Tehran, August 29 (RHC)-- The foreign ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement resumed discussions of current issues on Wednesday, ahead of the summit of heads of State and government, which gets underway tomorrow.

Debates took up issues such as sustainable development, the environment, food security, health and the fight against terrorism, with a special emphasis on South-South cooperation.

Work on the draft Final Declaration of the summit continues, as delegations focus on expanding and deepening relationships and more dynamic cooperation with developed and industrialized countries.
