How Cuba Proved that the Planes that Bombed the Country on
April 15 of 1961 were Flown by Mercenaries of "Operation Pluto"

Today, April 15, we remember that 48 years ago, US made B-26 bombers flying from Central America with false Cuban Air Force insignias painted on their wings, bombed the city
of Havana, the San Antonio air base to the south of the capital, and the Santiago de Cuba airport.

One of the B26 aircraft flew to Miami after dropping its 500 pound bombs and strafing the Ciudad Libertad airport, and many photos were taken of that plane when it landed in Florida.

The "made in Langley, Virginia" plot, was to present before the western media that a Cuban air force plane had allegedly bombed their own country.

But as usual, when dealing with Cuba, someone there in Virginia goofed....

Want to know and why ?

Fairly simple, B26 bombers were made in many different models.

The ones used by the US organized attack were of a different type than the ones that the Fuerza Aerea Revolucionaria were flying at that time.

The real Cuban B26's had a different "nose" than the ones that were used in the air attacks....

A senior US diplomat, Adlai Stevenson, at that time the US representative at the United Nations, was
caught red handed... when he was instructed to present to the UN Assembly General in New York the photos of the plane that landed in Miami.

The Cuban representative to the UN, that had the know how about the type of B26 aircraft that the Cuban Air Force were flying, unmasked the plot, and Mr Stevenson had to carry the heavy
weight of the US monumental blunder for the rest of his life....
