Cuban Lab Manufactured 200 Million Vaccines Over 17 Years

Havana, August 22 (RHC) - The National Center of Bio-Preparations (BIOCEN) has produced in 17 years over 200 million doses of of vaccines, used by the Cuban public health system and exported to other countries.

Recombinant Hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenza, tetravalent, and the most recent one, Pentavalent are some examples.

Based on a managerial system of quality according to the ISO 9000 requirements, the center has also produced the anti-anemic tonic Trofin, Streptokinase to treat myocardial infarction, Transfer Factor, Erythropoietin and others.
