| Attorneys
for the Cuban Five in Havana
By Radio Havana Cuba
Could you give us your perspective
on where we stand in the case of the Cuban Five?
THOMAS GOLDSTEIN (expert on Supreme
Court litigation): The direct appeals in the case of
the Cuban Five have concluded with the severe disappointment
of the U.S. Supreme Court not agreeing to review the case. We
obviously believe that the Supreme Court should have considered
the serious flaws in the case and should have reversed the convictions
of the Five. But the efforts on behalf of the Five have not
concluded, indeed they haven't slowed down.
What
Happened to Checks and Balances?
By Arnold August*
On
June 15, 2009, the US Supreme Court announced its decision to
reject the request for a revision of the Cuban Five case. This
demand for a review was carried out by millions of people from
all walks of life around the world, a record number of “Friends
of the Court” petitions and thousands of personalities
and elected officials from every continent. All of these pleas
also came from within the USA itself.
How
Cuba Proved that the Planes that Bombed the Country on April
15 of 1961 were Flown by Mercenaries of "Operation Pluto"
By Arnie Coro
Today, April 15, we remember that
48 years ago, US made B-26 bombers flying from Central America
with false Cuban Air Force insignias painted on their wings,
bombed the city of Havana, the San Antonio air base to the south
of the capital, and the Santiago de Cuba airport.
