Havana, March 30 (RHC)-- A photo exhibition entitled "Cuba in the eyes of the Chinese people" was inaugurated late last week in the city of Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, in eastern China, organized by the Cuba-China Cultural Exchange Center and the Office of Culture and Tourism in the Asian nation.

Cuban ambassador to Beijing Carlos Miguel Pereira, wrote on his Facebook account that the exhibition includes 60 photos taken by Chinese citizens on their visits to Cuba.

Cuba and China celebrated 60 years of diplomatic ties on September 28, 2020. Relations between the Asian country and the Caribbean state are based on brotherhood, solidarity and cooperation in a wide range of economic and social sectors.

Trade exchanges between the two nations are to the tune of some two billion dollars, almost ten times the amount of 1995. China is Cuba’s second largest trading partner.

Cuban investments in sectors such as Tourism and Biomedicine in the Chinese market have achieved important results, while China’s investments in Cuba are mainly in the branches of Agriculture, Tourism and Renewable Energies.
