Havana, September 26 (RHC)-- The Organizing Committee of the First Ibero-American Congress of the Décima and Improvised Verse postponed the event due to the threat posed by Hurricane Ian to western Cuba.

Scheduled for September 28-30 in honor of poet Jesús Orta Ruíz, known as Indio Naborí, the event has been postponed until October 5, due to inclement weather.

In a press release, the team in charge of the event reiterated its intention to celebrate the Congress together with delegates and guests, both local and foreign, and the national public, since "this will be an event for history"
