National Ballet of Cuba begins tour in Spain

The National Ballet of Cuba (BNC), under the direction of prima ballerina Viengsay Valdes, began today and until May 25, a tour of Spain with a selection of works of preference for dance lovers.

Havana, April 30 (RHC) --The National Ballet of Cuba (BNC), under the direction of prima ballerina Viengsay Valdes, began today and until May 25, a tour of Spain with a selection of works of preference for dance lovers.

The presentations, the institution reported on Facebook, include Love Fear Loss, Three Preludes, Concerto DSCH, Seventh Symphony, Majissimo and Death of a Swan.

The start of the tour coincides with celebrations for International Dance Day and they will begin in Terrassa where attendees will be able to appreciate a photographic exhibition by Spaniard Josep Guindo and Cuban Yailín Alfaro Guillén, who will exhibit images of the company's stagings.

The text pointed out that the BNC will also visit the cities of Seville, Huelva, Granada, Manresa, Leon, San Sebastian, Vitoria, Burgos, Santander, Segovia, Bilbao, Logroño and Pamplona.

The leading roles will be played by Viengsay Valdés, Anette Delgado, Sadaise Arencibia, Grettel Morejón, Dani Hernández and Yankiel Vázquez, as well as Chavela Riera, Darío Hernández, Yasiel Hodelín and Ányelo Montero, supported by soloists and the corps de ballet, the information added.
