The Venezuelan national team will face Costa Rica seeking to remain undefeated in the futsal World Cup to be held in several Lithuanian cities

Havana, September 15 (RHC)-- The Venezuelan national team will face Costa Rica seeking to remain undefeated in the futsal World Cup to be held in several Lithuanian cities until October 3.   Both representations of America share group A and arrive at this second outing in different situations, as Venezuela achieved success in the debut 2-1 over Lithuania and Costa Rica lost 1-6 against Kazakhstan.

At the Kuanas Arena, the Venezuelan team coached by Freddy Gonzalez will try to score points against the Ticos on their way to advance to the qualifying round starting on the 24th of this month.

During this fourth date of the competition, Guatemala will also take the field for the American continent against Egypt as part of the B key that has its actions in the city of Vilnius.

The Guatemalans celebrated a 5-4 victory over the Uzbek team in the beginning of their participation last Sunday and will try to keep the perfect pace in order to reach the next phase among the two best teams of the group.

The schedule of the day is completed by the clashes between Kazakhstan and host Lithuania, and Russia will face Uzbekistan.

Individually, Brazil's Ferrao and Argentina's Alan Brandi are among the top scorers of the tournament with four goals each.

The World Futsal Championship in Lithuania brings together the best 24 futsal teams, among them eight teams from the Americas, with Argentina, reigning champion, and Brazil, as the most winning team with five trophies.
