Havana, February 23 (RHC)-- INDER President Osvaldo Vento Montiller today recalled the work of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the 61st anniversary of the founding of the island's sports organization.

"Celebrating the 61st anniversary of #InderCuba brings us the privilege of strengthening the eternal commitment to #FidelPorAlways, its creator, who made sport a right of the people. Congratulations!" the executive wrote on his account on the social network Twitter.

Vento and a group of Inder leaders are in Guantánamo, venue of the central activities for the ephemeris. This Tuesday they visited centers of interest in the territory and participated in the gala tribute that took place in the Pedro Agustín Pérez square.

This Wednesday, the activities were extended throughout the territory of Guantanamo and the rest of the country, with sports festivals and acts of recognition to teachers, athletes and workers.

"With the healthy pride that tribute the many feats that have made our people happy, we celebrate today a 61st anniversary in which we congratulate its protagonists and ratify the will not to give up," INDER commented on its official Twitter account.

Other Cuban sports and government leaders have expressed their congratulations, including Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, who in a tweet recalled the birthdays of INDER and the ministries of Industry, Domestic Trade and Foreign Trade.
