Havana, April 27 (JIT) - Cuban volleyball players Gretell Moreno (Czech league), Sulian Matienzo and Laura Suarez (Spanish league) started off on the right foot in the final play offs.

Kralovo Brno, the club where Moreno plays as a starting passer, started with a five-set victory over Volejbal Brno in the Czech league.

Corner attacker Sulian Matienzo and center Laura Suárez were also key players in the two victories of JAV-Olímpico Gran Canaria over Tenerife.

Meanwhile, two of the star players of Cuban men's volleyball, Marlon Yant and Miguel Angel Lopez, will compete for titles in the strong Italian and Brazilian leagues.

Yant, with Italy's Lube Civitanova, and Lopez, with Brazil's Sada Cruceiro, will seek to repeat their performances of last year, when they were crowned champions with their clubs.

Both players have performed remarkably well this season and have been key players for their respective clubs.
