Havana, July 19 (RHC) - Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has extended his contract with Real Madrid for another year, sports newspaper As revealed today.
According to the newspaper, “the deal was finalized during the Club World Cup, held in the United States,” before assuring that “his continuity is guaranteed” until 2027.
The Belgian turned 33 in May and played 53 of the 68 possible games in the 2024-2025 season, with 4,830 minutes under his belt, despite suffering several setbacks due to injuries.
As recalls that “his presence between the posts and his performance are indisputable. He always comes to the rescue of the team on nights when all seems lost.”
Courtois joined Real Madrid in 2018 from Chelsea and has since laid the foundations for a legendary career, which includes three Spanish League titles and two Champions League titles, among other honors.
