Caracas, May 30 (RHC)-- Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza said that his country appreciates Norway’s efforts mediating dialogue between the Bolivarian government and its opposition.

On his Twitter account, Venezuela's top diplomat said: “After important working days in Oslo, the Government of the Kingdom of Norway reports on progress in the process of political dialogue between the Venezuelan Bolivarian government and Venezuela's opposition. We thank Norway's efforts for peace,” Arreaza wrote.

Attached to his tweet, Arreaza posted the press release published by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs which detailed the progress of the bilateral discussions.  Both "parties have shown their willingness to move forward in the search for an agreed and constitutional solution for the country, which includes political, economic and electoral issues," the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ine Eriksen Søreide, said in a statement.

The press release continued to caution the Venezuelan diplomats to show the utmost care in their comments and statements regarding the process during these early stages.

“Norway reiterates its recognition of the parties’ efforts,” Eriksen Søreide said.

On Monday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro reassured that the group of governmentrepresentatives in Oslo, Norway, are discussing "all issues" with the "extremist opposition" in a renewed effort of political dialogue to seek solutions to the country's crisis.

Earlier this month Bolivarian president said he would "never give up" on his defense of the national sovereignty or his efforts to "dialogue with the Venezuelan opposition and to map out a peaceful agenda for the country."
