Washington, June 6 (RHC)-- Thousands of protesters marched in Washington, DC as rallies across the U.S. to protest the killing of an unarmed Black man in Minneapolis police custody enter a 12th day and officials move to rein in law enforcement tactics.

Some activists have called on social media for a million people to attend the weekend rally in the U.S. capital.  Local media has predicted hundreds of thousands will attend.

"This is by far the most protesters we’ve seen in the capital descend on the White House and make their voices heard since these protests began 12 days ago," Al Jazeera's Heidi Zhou-Castro reported from the protest.
