La Paz, March 8 (RHC)-- The head of campaign for the Movement Towards Socialism - Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples (MAS-IPSP) and former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, thanked the people this Sunday for their support to the subnational candidacies of the political organization after the results of the exit polls.

"The vote we have had is not only for candidates, but for social policies.   MAS represents the hope of Bolivia," Evo Morales affirmed.  He explained that the triumph is due to a vindictive legacy to the popular sectors promoted by MAS.  "I thank the people for their commitment for the Homeland, our movement is driven to support the people," he added.

"Our brother president Luis Arce, has seven governors who will accompany his administration.  Although in the next hours we could have at least three more governors," stated the former Bolivian president.

Evo Morales' statement comes after the exit poll results show that MAS-IPSP obtained a majority of the 340 mayoralties, consolidating itself as the strongest political force in the country.

Likewise, the results show that there could be a second round in at least three of the nine governorships.
