TeleSUR continues to receive congratulations on its 16th anniversary

Caracas, July 26 (RHC)-- Presidents, communicators, organizations, television stations and world leaders have all congratulated the multimedia platform teleSUR on the occasion of its 16th anniversary, which was celebrated on Saturday.

The Network of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity (REDH), through its chapter in Argentina, expressed its "satisfaction and commitment" to the network for its birthday because teleSUR has been "giving an irreplaceable voice to Our America and to all the events of the world that the corporate press keeps silent or misrepresents."

On Monday, the Argentinean capital of the REDH said: "Telesur represents the essential communication trench in the great battle of ideas and that is why we consider the network as ours and an indissoluble part of the daily struggles -- big or small -- that the peoples present every day and without rest."

In this sense, it indicated that the new anniversary should be a reason for Latin America to rejoice and "a new impulse for the world to pierce the cloak of falsehood and programmed disinformation in which it is wrapped."

Earlier, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo also sent a congratulatory message on behalf of their people to the multi-state news network on the commemoration of its 16th anniversary.

"TeleSUR, unthinkable a short time ago, indispensable today to project, in Justice and Vision, in creation of Future, the indomitable, brave, courageous Spirit of our Peoples, that we do not stop, that we always go beyond, with the duty to sing, with the struggle as the highest of the songs."

Argentinean intellectual, journalist and writer, Atilio Borón, pointed out that without the channel's help it would be impossible to know what is really happening in the world, in reference to both those in front of the cameras and those behind them.  "Therefore, my sincere and deep embrace on this new anniversary," he said.

Likewise, Channel 22 of the Mexican Ministry of Culture, Channel 14 of the Public Broadcasting System of the Mexican State, the Network of Educational Radio and Television Broadcasters of Mexico, the Quintana Roo Social Communications System, Radio and Television of Quintana Roo and the Radio and Television Commission of Tabasco also congratulated the television network.

Likewise, the National Assembly (Parliament) of Cuba paid tribute to the Latin American television channel on its social networks.  From the same country, another sister news channel, Caribe, celebrated the anniversary of the communications multiplatform "that has played a crucial role in the media battle waged by our peoples."
