The sectorial vice-president of Public Works and Services catalogued the action as a terrorist attack in the framework of the multiform war that the country is facing

Caracas, September 13 (RHC)-- The Vice-President of the Public Works and Services Sector, Nestor Reverol, informed this Sunday night that Venezuela's National Electric System suffered a new attack within the framework of the sabotage plan carried out by external agents against the country's public utilities.

"We want to inform about a new terrorist attack on the national electric system within this permanent sabotage plan that is part of the multiform war that we have constantly received" denounced Reverol.

The sectorial vice-president emphasized "One of the important aspects of this multiform war is the electric war."   Reverol, in addition, informed that he is working together with the president of the electric corporation (Corpoelec), Luis Betancourt, for the recovery of the electricity load in Zulia, Mérida, Táchira, Nueva Esparta and Falcón, states that were partially affected.

The event occurred in a substation located in Aragua state, towards the east of the country, specifically in the Santa Cruz sector of the José Ángel Lamas municipality.   The sectorial vice-president pointed out that a fire originated, which was immediately attended by the firefighters.

However, this caused a series of fluctuations in the interconnected system, which generated the loss of service in several Venezuelan states.
