Mexico receives 5.9 million doses of AstraZeneca's anticovid vaccines

With Saturday's shipment, Mexico receives more than 62 million doses from AstraZeneca.

Mexico City, October 31 (RHC)-- Mexico received on Saturday afternoon more than five million AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccines from Canada

The country's Secretary of Health indicated that with this new shipment, Mexico totals 62,790,100 doses from AstraZeneca, which includes those packaged in the State of Mexico and those received from other countries.

The Mexican entity indicated that throughout the pandemic, 112 million 125 thousand 075 vaccines developed by Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Centro Nacional de Investigación de Epidemiología y Microbiología Gamaleya, CanSino Biologics, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna have been received.

"Likewise, in Mexican territory, the Drugmex laboratory has packaged 11 million 042 thousand 570 doses of CanSino Biologics, and the Liomont laboratory 30 million 112 thousand 400 AstraZeneca biologics, making a total of 41 million 154 thousand 970 vaccines packaged in the country," he commented.

The Secretary of Health reminded that since December 23rd, Mexico has had available 153,280,045 doses of anticovid vaccines that have been used in the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus.

To date, Mexico has received 146 shipments of vaccines in 160 flights, in which elements of the Mexican Army have participated in the transfer, arrival and security.
