World leaders congratulate Nicaragua on 43rd anniversary of Popular Sandinista Revolution

Managua, July 19 (RHC)-- On the eve of the 43rd anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Revolution, different organizations, governments and world leaders sent their congratulations to the Nicaraguan people and the Central American country's revolutionary leadership.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, as well as Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, sent a letter to congratulate the Nicaraguan people, President Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo.  "The occasion is propitious to ratify the will to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and solidarity with Sandino's homeland," the letter stated.

For his part, the president of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, also sent a letter to congratulate the Nicaraguan people, asserting that "one of the most illustrious historical events and a source of pride, the Revolution of July 19" is being commemorated."   He also affirmed that they will not stop working to strengthen their bilateral relations.

Djibouti's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, sent a statement to celebrate this date with the people of Nicaragua.  "I salute the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation that exist between our two countries and express the wish that they be further strengthened for the mutual benefit of our respective peoples." 

The Communist Party of Chile joined in the congratulations, highlighting "the heroic struggle of the Nicaraguan people, who 43 years ago managed to defeat the Somoza dictatorship led by Commander Carlos Fonseca, made the seed sown by the general of free men, Augusto César Sandino, flourish."

Likewise, the Movimiento Independentista Nacional Hostosiano (MINH) of Puerto Rico sent a letter of congratulations to the people and government of Nicaragua.  "The revolutionary triumph of the Nicaraguan people in 1979 represents an event of great transcendence in the history of Our America.   Transcendence that prevails forty-three years later, when the brotherly people of Sandino and Rubén Darío strive to advance against all adversity, in the building a superior society."

The European Committee of Solidarity with the Popular Sandinista Revolution sent a message to join the celebration in the Central American country, affirming that "Nicaragua, thanks to its good government, continues to advance day by day with each one of the social projects, guaranteeing Nicaraguans improvements in their quality of life."

And from Argentina, the Enrique H. Gorriarán Foundation greeted the people and Government of Nicaragua on the anniversary of this date, highlighting the work of the authorities in "maintaining in exemplary action, in resistance, very high the national and anti-imperialist struggle."
