Two more crew members of the Emtrasur plane retained in Argentina arrive in Venezuela

Caracas, October 2 (RHC)-- Two more crew members of the Empresa de Transporte de Aerocargo del Sur (Emtrasur) plane have arrived in Venezuela, after they were authorized to leave Argentina where they had been held since last June.

Venezuelan José García Contreras and Iranian Mohammad Khosraviaragh arrived at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state, joining the first group of 12 crew members who returned to the country.

The decision was ratified by Judge Federico Villena, of the Federal Criminal and Correctional Court of Lomas de Zamora 1, which states that the two crew members are "absolved of all guilt, declared innocent" and "acquitted in the legal cases opened against them."

Upon his arrival at the airport, García recalled that "five are staying there (in Argentina) plus a Venezuelan patrimony -- the plane."  The president of Emtrasur, César Pérez, stated that "this return represents a joy, although the real celebration will come when the rest of the crew and their aircraft are released."

The Venezuelan Embassy in Argentina expressed on Wednesday, September 28th, through its Twitter account, that there are already 14 crew members of the Emtrasur airplane absolved of all guilt, acquitted in the legal cases opened against them.

Since last June, the Venezuelan Emtrasur plane has been detained in Argentina despite the fact that nothing of illegal origin was found during the inspections.  The Venezuelan government has demanded on numerous occasions the return of the entire crew and the return of the cargo plane.
