Managua, June 23 (RHC) Young Nicaraguans highlighted the legacy of the founder of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN), Comandante Carlos Fonseca Amador, on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of his birth.

During political and cultural activities in the mausoleum located in the Central Park of this capital, members of the Sandinista Youth of July 19 laid flowers in front of the monument where the mortal remains of the also known as the Father of the Revolution rest.

The members of the referred youth organization stated that the legacy of the outstanding Nicaraguan fighter is present in every work of progress developed by the Government.

The day of homage will conclude with a central act this afternoon where President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo are expected to participate.

Known for his attachment to the struggles of the underprivileged, Carlos Fonseca Amador is one of the main referents of Sandinismo in this Central American nation for his permanent struggle against Somoza’s dictatorship. (Source: PL)
