Bogotá, November 5 (RHC) -- Regional Labor Ministers will convene next November 11-12 in Medellin, Colombia for the Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML).
IACML is a biennial forum, under the auspices of the Organization of American States (OAS), in which the Western Hemisphere's Labor Ministers promote hemispheric cooperation on labor and employment issues.
This year, under the motto “Progress and challenges towards sustainable development," the Ministries of Labor of the Americas will meet to negotiate a new draft Declaration and Plan of Action.
Representatives from the labor and private sector advisory groups in the region (COSATE and CEATAL), and international organizations also participate, with the special attendance this year of the director of the International Labour Organization, ILO, Guy Ryder.
