Ciespal and teleSUR to Analyze Regional Media

Quito, May 27 (teleSUR-RHC)-- The media research center Ciespal and teleSUR will analyze the state of the media in Latin America in July during the international conference titled “Communication and Latin American Integration from the South.”

 

The two-day conference will take place in Ciespal's headquarters in Quito, Ecuador. Registration is open for participation of both the general public and researchers that want to submit their works. The event will discuss several issues regarding the current state of the media in Latin America, including the training of journalists, the role of public media outlets and the impact of media laws throughout the region.

 

Leading experts such as Colombian media researcher Omar Rincon, Argentinian political scientist Atilio Boron and former editor in chief of Le Monde Diplomatique Ignacio Ramonet will participate in the event.
