Five Killed in ISIL Bomb Attack on Sanaa Mosque

Sanaa, July 21 (RHC)-- At least five people are killed and seven more injured in a car bombing near a Shia mosque in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. The ISIL Takfiri group claimed responsibility for the Monday attack in the al-Jeraf neighborhood of the Yemeni capital.

According to security officials, a car bomb exploded outside the al-Raoudh mosque in southeast Sanaa as worshipers were leaving after prayers. ISIL, which has seized parts of land in Iraq, Syria and Libya, claimed responsibility for the attack several hours after it occurred.

Based on UN figures, 3,261 people have been killed, 1,670 of whom were civilians in the Saudi onslaught. However, local sources put the death toll at over 4,500.
