Bie, August 1 (RHC)-- The governor of the Angolan province of Bie, Manuel de Boavida Neto, thanked the Cuban government and people for their support and cooperation in several different fields.

Governor De Boavida Neto participated over the weekend in celebrations in Angola on the 63rd anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks on July 26th, 1953, by a group of Cuban revolutionaries led by Fidel Castro, to whom he sent a congratulatory message on his 90th birthday on August 13th.

The Angolan politician said that Cuba was instrumental in achieving his country's independence, as well as in the African country's reconstruction and pointed to health, education and construction, as some of the sectors in which the two countries maintain cooperation relations.
