World Parliamentarians Join Campaign for the Cuban Five

Havana, Feb 8, -- Dozens of parliamentarians from around the world will joined an international court hearing, to take place March 7 and 8 in London, which will address the case of the five Cuban antiterrorists who were given unfair prison sentences in the US.

Representatives of Ireland, Belgium, Russia and other European countries, along with others from Latin America have expressed their support of the event, according to a press release posted on the site www.voicesforthefive.com  

Prior to the hearing, British legislators, including Baroness Angela Smith who heads the All Party Group, will Exchange views with their counterparts from other countries at the Chamber of Commons, the release explains.

Baroness Smith said she was sure that the commission will strengthen the international campaign for the release of the Cuban anti-terrorists, still imprisoned in the US.

The commission, was organized by the Cuba Solidarity Campaign in the U.K. and the Socialist Cuba Initiative of Belgium and it is considered one of the most important events to take place in 2014 for the release of Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero y Fernando González.
