Havana, February 11  (RHC)-- Ricardo Cabrisas, deputy prime minister of Cuba, and Orlando Solórzano, minister of Development, Industry and Trade of Nicaragua, advocated for boosting economic relations between the two nations.

During a meeting, both parties highlighted the brotherhood and solidarity between the governments and peoples of the two countries, reported Prensa-Latina news agency.

They particularly highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations and the progress made in the commercial exchange of goods and services during the previous year.

Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, and Luis Cabrera, Nicaraguan Ambassador in Havana, participated in the meeting.

Political and diplomatic relations between Cuba and Nicaragua were re-established on July 19, 1979, when the Nicaraguan revolution triumphed.
