Governments of Cuba and Mexico strengthen trade relations

Havana, March 4 (RHC) The Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, held several working meetings with Mexican authorities to expand relations between the two nations.

The official is in Mexico City to participate in the Cuba in Mexico Exhibition, which will be held from Wednesday until March 6.

The minister said on Twitter that he spoke with Graciela Marquez, Secretary of Economy of Mexico, as well as with the Undersecretary of Foreign Trade Luz Maria de la Mora, with whom he discussed joint investment projects.

Likewise, the Cuban business delegation participated in the Annual National Assembly of CANACINTRA, the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry, which represents the Mexican industrial sector. Malmierca explained the opportunities to develop bilateral economic relations with the Caribbean island.

For his part, Antonio Carricarte, president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, commented on Twitter about the meeting of the Cuba-Mexico Business Committee and the adoption of a new economic action plan that will be signed this Wednesday.
