Cuba reports two Covid-19 deaths and 59 new cases

Havana. August 29 (RHC)— The Public Health Ministry announced on Saturday two fatalities due to Covid-19 in Cuba over the last 24 hours.

The deceased were two male patients from the Arroyo Naranjo municipality in Havana. This brings the death toll from the epidemic on the island to 94.

Speaking on Saturday at the daily briefing on the epidemic, the national director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran, said 5698 samples were processed by the islands laboratories, out of which 59 people tested positive for SARS-Cov-2 for a total of 3 925 since March 11.

Havana remains the territory with the most cases. As of 12 o clock last night, 1057 people were hospitalized in Cuba, of whom 556 were positive

cases.
