Cuba reports 66 new cases of COVID-19

Cuba´s chief epidemiologist, Dr, Francisco Duran

Havana, September 30 (RHC)-- The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported 66 new cases of Covid19 during the last 24 hours for a total of 5,597 since the beginning of the epidemic.

During the daily media briefing on Wednesday, the specialist stated that 7,298 patients had been admitted to the island´s isolation centers and hospitals by the close of yesterday, of which 580 were confirmed cases.

On Tuesday, the island´s molecular laboratories tested 7 thousand 550 samples.

65 cases were Cuban, and one was a foreign resident on the island

Of the diagnosed cases on Tuesday, 40 were from Ciego de Avila, 14 were from Sancti Spiritus, and ten from Havana.
