Cuba registers 1 042 cases of Covid-19 and 5 deaths

Havana, April 10 (RHC)-- Cuba reported on Saturday 1 042 new infections of Covid-19 and five deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 85,572 and 453 fatalities since the beginning of the pandemic to 453 patients.

Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of Epidemiology, said that  5,105 patients remain hospitalized with the active virus, 5,48 of them with stable clinical evolution, 25 in serious, and 32 in critical condition.

He pointed out that among those diagnosed on the last day with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the cause of the pandemic, 159 are under 18 years of age, belonging to almost all the country's provinces.

No child or adolescent has died in Cuba, and 92.3 of positive cases percent have been medically discharged.
