Havana, Jul 30 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said Friday that the U.S. government uses issues related to the Caribbean island for electoral purposes.

The foreign minister remarked that the meeting of U.S. President Joseph Biden with 'Cuban annexationists' is a farce to justify the regime change operations against the Caribbean nation.

On Twitter, he added that the U.S. administration is not interested in the Cuban people but in the electoral machinery in Florida; hence, it ignores the demands of those who live in the Caribbean island, its voters, and the world.

This Friday, the U.S. president held a meeting with some opponents of the Havana government, who from social networks have incited chaos and subversion, particularly after the riots of last July 11 in the Caribbean country.

In the exchange, Biden assured that his administration is evaluating 'all available options' to facilitate Internet access for Cubans and threatened to take other measures against Cuba if drastic changes do not occur.
