Cuba reports 6277 new COVID-19 cases and 77 deaths

Havana, Aug 29 (RHC)-- The Ministry of Public Health reported 6,277 new cases and 77 deaths due to Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, numbers showing a slight improvement compared to previous days, informed health authorities.

The island now accumulates  640,438 cases and  5,144 fatalities since the beginning of the pandemic.

Havana stood out as the territory with the most cases with 857 cases in the last hours, followed by Pinar del Rio, with 780, and Holguin, with 572.

Referring to the progress of the immunization process with vaccines,  the Ministry informed that 13 million 379 thousand 503 doses of these products had been applied in the different modalities, such as clinical trials, intervention, and health intervention studies.
