Urban planning and reopening among Cuban Government's priorities

Havana, Sep 17 (RHC) On Friday, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero analyzed with governors from all over the country priority issues of the Executive such as the situation of urban planning and the gradual reopening of services.

 

In a videoconference meeting with local authorities, the head of government also evaluated the support plan for vulnerable neighborhoods, which began in the capital and will be extended throughout the Caribbean nation, according to a local television report.

 

The initiative has among its main objectives the urban planning and the fight against illegalities as a result of internal migration. In this regard, Marrero called to accelerate the process of housing legalizations, where possible, to support disadvantaged people.

 

With this experience we have with the neighborhoods, we are willing to review the cases', assured the Government Minister about the current regulations.

 

The meeting also analyzed the possibility of gradually opening gastronomic services to the population, while evaluating a work proposal to confront COVID-19 with the results of the provinces of Matanzas (west) and Ciego de Avila (center).

 

Due to the positive experience in those territories, the Prime Minister called to extend good practices to reduce the spread of new cases. (Source: Prensa Latina).
