Havana, June 10 (RHC)--The 10th Session of the Cuba-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Commercial Collaboration concluded this week in Havana with the signing of a final agreement.

The document, signed by Cuba's First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), Ana Teresa González Fraga, and Belarus' Deputy Foreign Minister Evgeny Shestakov, summarizes the agreements covering the areas of trade, banking-financial, agri-food, industry and investment, and others of mutual interest.

Among them is the Belarus government's support for the development of an industrial park of the Eurasian Economic Union in the Mariel Special Development Zone, as well as that nation's support for investment projects to boost domestic industry, particularly the assembly and production of tractors, electric vehicles, household appliances, among others.

The director of Commercial Policy with Europe from the Ministry of Foreign Trade,  Inalvis Bonachea González, told the press that the meeting "represented an important step for the strengthening of bilateral collaboration in different sectors and modalities", and allowed the reactivation of the Intergovernmental Commission for the fruitful development of economic, commercial and friendly relations, reached over 30 years.
