Cuban authorities sign and endorse Family Code

Havana, Sep 26 (Red Web) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, and the president of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament), Esteban Lazo Hernández signed and endorsed this Monday the new Family Code, after the victory in the popular referendum this Sunday.

 

The Twitter account of the Presidency (@PresidenciaCuba) reports that the official ceremony was held at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana.

 

The new regulation was ratified by the people, with three million 936 thousand 790 votes counted in favor of its entry into force, according to data offered this morning by Alina Balseiro, president of the National Electoral Council (CEN).
