Havana, August 6 (RHC) -– Cuba has demanded the end of U.S. subversive plans aimed against the revolutionary government.

A statement signed by the general director of the United States Division at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Josefina Vidal, reads that once again the reiterated denunciations against Washington's subversive plans are confirmed.

In an article published August 4th, which follows a report last April on the covert Zuzuneo project, the U.S. Associated Press news agency documented another plan financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development, USAID, with the aim of negatively influencing Cuban youth.

This plan, whose authorship and implementation has been accepted by the United States in a shameful manner, was designed to turn Cuban youths into political actors, after being identified by Latin American agents recruited with that aim. The document denounces that the plan was then aimed at organizing Cuban young people to act against the Cuban government.

These facts prove that the U.S. administration has not renounced its hostile and interference-oriented plans against Cuba, which are designed to encourage destabilization to provoke changes in the Cuban political order, and to which the United States dedicates millions of dollars every year.

The statement concludes that the U.S. administration must stop once and for all its subversive, covert and illegal actions against Cuba, which violate our sovereignty and the expressed will of the Cuban people to improve our economic and social model, as well as to consolidate our democracy.
