The country's electoral system is ready for municipal elections.

Havana, Nov 24 (RHC) After exercising the legitimate right to nominate, we will go to the polls next Sunday with the will to elect our delegates to the municipal assemblies of People's Power, assured Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban Foreign Minister.

Rodríguez Parrilla, who is part of the delegation accompanying President Miguel Díaz-Canel in his current international tour, stated on Twitter his intention to participate in the process that will take place this November 27 in Cuba, which he defined as a genuine expression of participatory democracy.

In the TV and radio program Mesa Redonda,  president of the National Electoral Council, Alina Balseiro, affirmed that the country's electoral system is ready for the municipal elections.

The official called the more than eight million voters to exercise their free, equal, direct, and secret vote and summoned the electoral authorities to work with transparency, adherence to the truth, and serenity, as established by the Constitution and the Electoral Law.

He commented that this is the first time that a vote is held after the restructuring of the electoral system in the country, which currently has 12,427 constituencies.

Balseiro pointed out that it was necessary to carry out this process given the demographic and urban changes, for which commissions of specialists were set up at all levels. (Source: ACN)
