Havana, January 6 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, heads this Friday a meeting in the province of Villa Clara with its authorities, as part of a series of exchanges of the country's government in all territories, which aim to assess their potential to achieve a better year 2023.

As reported by the Presidency on Twitter, the meeting in Villa Clara will also analyze the existing possibilities to face the economic situation Cuba is going through.

Accompanying the head of state are Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz and Roberto Morales Ojeda, secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC.

The meetings began the day before in the provinces of Ciego de Avila and Sancti Spiritus, where the Government called for expanding food production, encouraging urban, suburban and family agriculture and making the most of the potential of the territories.

In this first meeting, Díaz-Canel assured that the whole country will be reached in a frank and very hopeful debate.
