Ho Chi Minh City's friendship association highlights strengthening relations with Cuba

Hanoi, January 11 (RHC) The president of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association in southern Ho Chi Minh City, Truong Thi Hien, highlighted Tuesday, at a ceremony celebrating the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, the strengthening and expansion of the loyal relationship between Vietnam and the largest of the Antilles.

These ties have grown closer and cover the sectors of agriculture, industry, oil and gas, construction, culture, education, science and technology, Thi Hien stressed.

During 2022, bilateral ties grew with the exchange of delegations and visits, said the Consul General of Cuba in that metropolis, Ariadne Feo Labrada, who thanked the permanent support of the Association.

The entity collaborated with the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to carry out various activities, including meetings on the occasion of the main celebrations of the Caribbean nation, a painting contest extolling the Vietnam-Cuba friendship, and working sessions with Cuban officials, she said.

All this contributed to nurturing the traditional and loyal friendship that has existed for more than six decades between the two nations, the diplomat remarked. (Source: PL)
