Cuban Vice President continues recovery checkup in Pinar del Río

Havana, Jan 20 (RHC) The member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and vice president of the Republic, Salvador Valdés Mesa checked the progress of recovery in the province of Pinar del Río, after the passage of Hurricane Ian (September 27, 2022).

Valdés Mesa insisted on the use of endogenous resources in order to make progress in the recovery of this territory.

La Palma's local development strategy emphasizes nine lines of action that include, among other aspects, the agricultural, handicraft, and construction materials industries, based on existing conditions and even the use of residual materials.

Work is also being done on soil improvement, and new planting frames in an eminently agricultural municipality.

Accompanied by the authorities of the PCC and the Government in the westernmost province, the Cuban vice-president has been touring several municipalities since the day before and is also interested in the improvement of the local bodies of the People's Power. (Source: ACN)
