Havana, Jan 29 (RHC) Europe for Cuba channel on Sunday called on solidarity organizations to join the actions in support of the Island and the people attacked by U.S. imperialism.

"The objective is to unleash activities in a staggered manner, in the form of a tsunami of solidarity, in the streets and social networks, according to the initiatives and conditions of each place and each association," stressed the platform created in October 2020.

The day before culminated in the Spanish city of Seville the first international meeting of solidarity with Cuba, which became a forum to support the Cuban people in the face of attacks.

More than 70 associations from Europe and America participated in the meeting, which condemned the economic, commercial, and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba and ratified the accompaniment to the Caribbean nation in the defense of its sovereignty.

The coordinators of Europe for Cuba, José Antonio Toledo, Haydeline Díaz, and Patricia Pérez, considered that the forum exceeded expectations due to the participation and depth of the debates.

Likewise, they framed the tsunami of actions in defense of the people in tune with the anti-imperialist thought of José Martí, Cuba's National Hero, on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of his birth (January 28).

"We are inspired by his idea of the common good, his rebelliousness and sacrifice, his perfect conjunction between what he did and what he said", they affirmed. (Source: Prensa Latina)
