Havana, October 31 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez is paying a two-day visit to Mexico following his participation at the UN General Assembly which incisively condemned the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
Minister Rodriguez was welcomed at the Benito Juarez international airport by deputy foreign minister Vanessa Rubio and by Cuban ambassador to Mexico Dagoberto Rodriguez.
According to PL news agency Rodriguez is scheduled to meet with Mexican foreign minister Jose Antonio Meade and to address the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During his most recent visit to Cuba last month, the Mexican foreign reiterated his wish to boost bilateral relations, an initiative that was enthusiastically backed by Cuban authorities.
In his speech at the UN General Assembly on October 29, Mexican ambassador Jorge Montaño acknowledged the advancement of Cuba in meeting the Millennium Development Goals despite the negative impact of Washington's hostile policy towards Cuba over the past 50 years.
