Paris, January 30 (RHC) -- Cuban Vice President of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas is on a working visit to France to discuss bilateral economic and commercial relations, diplomatic sources reported Thursday.

The official has met with French Finance Minister, Michel Sapin, and State Secretary for Foreign Trade, Matthias Fekl.

The Cuban delegation includes the Vice President of the Cuban Central Bank Arnaldo Alayón, Cuban ambassador to France Héctor Igarza and Commercial Attaché Yeny Reyes.

In April 2014, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius paid a visit to Cuba, the first top level visit by France in 30 years to the Caribbean island. Fabius was welcomed by his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodríguez and President Raúl Castro.

The French diplomat and Rodríguez agreed on the importance of strengthening bilateral ties.
