Cuba to Host International Forum on Sustainable Development

Havana, February 4 (RHC) -– Experts from 10 countries will attend the 7th International Convention on Sustainable Development and Innovation to be held in the western Cuban province of Matanzas in April.

The president of the forum´s organizing committee, Maria de Lourdes Artola, said that participants will come from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela and Spain.

The event is being organized by the local university in Matanzas and will be hosted by the Plaza America Conventions Center, in Varadero beach resort, on the northern coast of the province, 100 kilometers east of the capital Havana.

The forum´s agenda includes pre- and post-event courses, key-note lectures, panel work during five days, in which the University of Matanzas will mark its 43rd anniversary. Participants will also attend international workshops on engineering, local or community development and meetings in the areas of entrepreneurial science and tourism, ecology, social development and sustainable agricultural resources.
